Fynbos and Protea discussion response:

USDA Hardiness Zones - julie May 23, 2001

In response to Q: explanation - Theresa, May 20, 2001 :
    • Dear Theresa
Here are the following way in which zones are described: eg.
      Zone 6: -10 to 0 degrees F
      -23 to -18 degress C
This means that if a plant is classified as being able to grow in Zone 6,it can tolerate temperatures down to -10 degrees F or -23 degrees C.
      Hope this is useful.
