A full-colour, limited-edition seminal work of decorative art using South African flowers. This hard-cover book measures 228x228mm (9x9) and hs 93 pages.

Florist and flower arranger Vincent Decock has brightened up numerous exclusive events and business banquets with his floral decorations and enjoys an excellent reputation. The title of this book is a play on the name of the South African town of Bloemfontein, literally 'Fountain of Flowers'. Vincent Decock specializes in South African flowers such as arum lilies and proteas and here he has created some unbelievably beautiful arrangements with them.

Ivo Pauwels has described the flowers used and the creative result in his own fluent and attractive style. Ivo is editor of two journals in Dutch and French, contributes to numerous other journals and has written more than twenty successful books on gardening, lifestyle, and various other subjects. He has also lectured and recorded several documentary films in South Africa.

Isabel Rottiers brings these magnificent flowers and their arrangements to life with her stunning photographs. An ideal present for lovers of flowers and of 'blommetjiesland' - the land of flowers - South Africa.

The back cover of this book shows some of the arrangements available inside. But it is only when you open the book that your breath is taken away by the exquisite beauty and simplicity of the flower arrangements. It is impossible for us to present to you here the true value and beauty of this work.
Flower arrangement showing off protea neriifolia in the home
The claret shades of Protea compacta x Protea susannae 'Pink Ice' blend perfectly with the colour of the wall.

Serruria florida (blushing bride) in a unique floral arrangement
Between the sturdy stems Vincent has introduced the tender flowers of the Serruria florida, a blushing bride amidst the show of strength of the knotweed stalks. The almost papery flowers and the fine foliage forma strong contrast, very feminine against the almost macho behaviour of the Japanese knotweed. To accentuate the sensitivity of the Pride of Franschhoek even more, Vincent has used some greenery from Asparagus densiflorus 'Myriocladus'.

Flower arrangement using arum lilies (Zantedeschia Aethiopica)
On a rough limestone rock specialist flower arranger Decock has presented a brilliant table decoration of pink callas. Zantedeschia rehmannii. It is very suitable as a table decoration, because its low arrangement does not interfere in any way with the conversation and with its spiralling movement it is clearly well-suited to a round table. The spiral suggests that it will keep the conversation going in all directions, as it should be in a round-table discussion.
